Capturing a forever love in every dress.

Hi, and welcome! I’m Danielle, Lace & Liberty founder.

When I was wedding planning, I just couldn’t find a dress that worked for me. I wasn't asking for too much, I just wanted a dress that embodied my style, so I could feel like my best self on my big day. I would like the top of one dress, the skirt of another, and the beading of another. Which got me thinking, why can’t I design my own dress?

Enter Lace & Liberty, the proudly women-owned, fully comprehensive and virtual dress designing platform where every bride gets the opportunity to work with a talented designer. We’re democratizing fashion, one wedding dress at a time - and I’m proud to be able to offer brides this exceptional experience.

A collaborative design journey

During the design phase, we take into consideration every single detail that goes into your dress and ensure that all of your ideas flow together seamlessly - or, we recommend alternatives.

Some of the detailed considerations that go into each dress will include neckline shape, neckline depth, strap width, sleeve style, sleeve length, skirt silhouette, skirt layers, ruching, pleating, boning, cups, seams, darts, horsehair edge, raw cut edge.... and the list goes on!

It’s a truly collaborative experience. Together, we’ll walk the journey of custom wedding dress design from the initial sketch all the way through to sourcing fabrics, creating patterns, and hand-sewing every last detail of your gorgeous gown.

QUALITY FABRICS

Layers and layers of love

A dress can have eight layers, and each one is thoughtfully selected. Maybe it's a layer that touches the skin, which should be silky-smooth and comfortable. Perhaps it's a layer that needs to add volume to the skirt, or a dash of sequined sparkliness. Or you might want a final layer of tulle, which needs to be soft and sheer.

Every button, sequin, bead and lace piece is hand-sewn onto the perfect fabric for your dress style. Forever is a long time, which is why we believe that each dress we make deserves extra attention to detail.

Behind the intricate seams

From team brainstorming and sketching, to fabric choices and dress construction, each piece is a process that takes a dream - plus time, creativity and hard work.

Then, of course, there’s lace.

Lace comes in a huge variety of styles: there's soft and delicate lace, all-over Chantilly lace, classic French Alençon lace, romantic 3D floral lace, modern geometric lace, and so much more! During the design process, we'll take our beautiful lace fabric and cut it into smaller sections and individual pieces to design it into the perfect neckline or create an interesting shape. Our talented seamstresses hand-sew each individual lace piece (sometimes over 60-70 pieces of them!) to create our lacy beauties.
