Wedding dress styles
Wedding dress styles are usually described by silhouette (A-line, ball gown, mermaid or fit-and-flare, sheath), by fabric and detail (lace, simple, sparkly) and by overall look (boho, black, long sleeve). At Lace & Liberty you can start from any of these, mix them, and have the result made to your measurements, from $1,500.

Wedding dress styles: frequently asked questions
What are the main wedding dress silhouettes?
The main silhouettes are A-line (fitted bodice, gently flared skirt), ball gown (fitted bodice, very full skirt), mermaid (fitted to the knee, then flared), fit-and-flare or trumpet (fitted to mid-thigh, then flared) and sheath or column (close to the body all the way down).
Can I combine two wedding dress styles?
Yes. Many of our brides like the top of one dress and the skirt of another. Your designer can combine necklines, sleeves, lace and skirts into one design, or you can wear separates such as a lace top with a full skirt.
Which wedding dress style is most popular with your brides?
A-line is the most common silhouette in our bride gallery, followed by column/sheath and fit-and-flare designs.
How much does a custom wedding dress cost?
Lace & Liberty custom gowns range from $1,500 to $5,500, and most brides spend $2,000–$3,500. Try our price estimate.
How long does a custom wedding dress take?
About 6 months from order, including consultations, design, production edits and shipping. Rush options of 18, 12 or 8 weeks may be available. See timing & rush orders.
