Custom made to measure

Vintage-inspired wedding dresses

A vintage-inspired wedding dress borrows from past eras, such as long lace sleeves, soft draped chiffon or a column skirt, but is made new. Ours include the Muse skirt in velvety chiffon for a touch of vintage elegance, the more textured Garden Muse skirt, and the Abbey top, our take on Victorian with long lace sleeves. All are made to your measurements.

“The process was so easy and I got updates as the dress was being made. I absolutely LOVE my wedding dress with lace overskirt.”

Vintage-Inspired Wedding Dresses: frequently asked questions

Are these real vintage dresses?

No. They are new designs inspired by vintage bridal style, made to your measurements after you order.

What makes a wedding dress look vintage?

Details like long lace sleeves, soft draped chiffon and slim column skirts. The Abbey top is our take on Victorian, with a long sleeve and a neckline built from the natural lace patterning, and the Muse skirt is a column-shaped chiffon skirt with a touch of vintage elegance.

Can I mix a vintage-style top with a different skirt?

Yes. The Abbey top, Muse skirt and Garden Muse skirt are separates, and the Garden Muse is for brides who love the Muse but want more texture and detailing. Explore pairings in our dress builder.

Can I bring a family dress or detail into my design?

Talk to your designer. One of our brides, Reenie, included a flower from her mother’s dress as a sentimental touch.

How much does a custom vintage-inspired wedding dress cost?

Lace & Liberty custom gowns range from $1,500 to $5,500, and most brides spend $2,000–$3,500. Customizations to an existing collection design start at $250. Get a personalized number with our price estimate.

How long does it take to make a custom vintage-inspired wedding dress?

Our standard turnaround is about 6 months from the date you order, including consultations, design finalization, production edits and shipping. Rush options of 18, 12 or 8 weeks ($250, $450 or $600) may be available depending on our production schedule and fabric availability. See timing & rush orders.

Yes. Book a free one-hour appointment at our San Francisco showroom at 1301 Castro St to try on 200+ samples in sizes 0–20, or a free 20-minute virtual design consultation from anywhere. We ship worldwide from San Francisco.
